Green tea With Milk Jeopardizes Its Health Benefits
Green tea can be mixed with a little amount of milk for a fuller flavor but did you know that adding milk in your green tea jeopardizes green tea’s health benefit. I read over at BBC that a German study discovered that mixing milk with your favorite cup of tea can block the cathechins good effect.
This is because caseins in milk reduced the concentration of catechins in the tea. Hence, milk in a tea can significantly decrease the ability of catechins to keep blood pressure healthy. So if you want to maximize the vascular protective effects of your green tea, refrain from adding milk in it.
Drink green tea as it is and enjoy its clean, green aroma for better green tea effect. And you will likely to lose more weight if you will just drink plain green tea because green tea has no fats, carbohydrates or sugar. Drinking green tea is a lot like of drinking water with added health benefits.
