We are prone to have a slow metabolism as we age and when our metabolism is slower than what it should be, we tend to gain weight due to fats and calories that are not burned inside our body. Hence, may people, especially women with sedentary lifestyle gradually increase their weights as years pass by.
But did you know that drinking 3-4 cups of green tea daily can hasten your metabolism rate? Green tea is proven to be capable of boosting the metabolism rate of a person. It can also prevent fats from building up in different areas of our body.
So why not engage in a green tea diet starting today? I have been taking green tea for several years now and I can really say that this little packet of tea works great for keeping my weight normal even I sometime pig-out with sweet desserts like chocolate cakes, cookies and ice cream.
I don’t really exercise regularly and I am sitting almost 8 hours daily but thanks goodness because I am neither bloated nor obese even I am not getting any younger anymore. Of course, I cut of my rice intake already but the viands, bread spread and oil content of my day to day food is not that controlled so I really need to take something to speed up my metabolism and help me burn these stuff inside my body.
And I think, I found a good partner in trimming off those unwanted fats and cholesterol: green tea. It’s inexpensive, almost water-like and very handy health drink that I can bring anywhere. So try green tea too and say goodbye to your sluggish metabolism!

One of the most common problems of women who just gave birth is going back to their pre-pregnant weight. It is indeed difficult to remove the accumulated fat on the belly; women need to undergo exercise and eat a healthy diet to go back in their original weight. But this is not easy to do because once a woman gave birth; her time is mostly devoted for her baby…
But worry no more because I read here that drinking green tea can help women lose their unwanted belly fat. According to that article, a standardized green tea supplement has 90mg of EGCG or Epigallocatechin Gallate and 50mg caffeine. These substances are said to cause a boost in noradrenalin that can help body boost its metabolism and suppress appetite.
These substances are not really harmful to our body especially if we take it into moderation; say 2 to 3 cups of tea daily. Instead of drink sweetened juice, coffee with cream or soda, a cup of warm green tea is more beneficial for women who want to lose weight after giving birth.
What if the woman is breastfeeding? Well, she needs to consult her doctor or her baby’s paediatrician to be sure. But generally, a cup or two of green tea is not harmful even to pregnant women so I think, breastfeeding mothers may take green tea safely.
I read over here that a cup of plain coffee or green tea 15 minutes before we begin our workout can raise our mental awareness and help us to workout more intensely. This rings a bell to me because I am always taking a cup of green tea before exercising in the morning and I can say that the caffeine content of green tea is sure enough to boost my energy.
I tried drinking coffee once for a change because I smelled the irresistible beans aroma but I palpitated even before I finished a cup which is probably because of too much caffeine content of black coffee. Then afterwards, I got stomach ache…these experiences made me stick to my old reliable green tea every morning.
The caffeine content of green tea is said to be high but it is not that harsh even for non-coffee drinkers like me. It is just enough to boost our energy and stimulate our blood circulation and guaranteed not to cause any palpitations. Green tea is healthier than coffee because it is not acidic and cannot cause stomach upset even you drink it with an empty stomach.
So if you are looking for a beverage for your morning workouts, try tea, particularly green tea. It is subtle but effective for a quick energy boost and can be paired with any solid food even with just plain soda cracker and guaranteed to be without any harmful side effects.

I am into green tea diet for several years now and I am happy to tell that I never gained too much weight anymore since I incorporated green tea in my diet. When my friends ask me what green tea I am taking, I always tell them: “the cheapest green tea that you can see in the market.”
Am I telling them the truth? Absolutely yes! the green tea that I am regularly taking roughly cost more or less $4.00 per box. And a box is consists of 100 tea bags! Literally, I can drink green tea all day without hurting my pocket and I am proud about that. But of course, sometimes, I get to try other brands of green tea (my friends and relatives always give me green tea as a gift when they came from traveling).
Is there any difference? Well, not so significant except from the green tea leaves from Japan. This one is loose leaves and is not contained in a tea bag. I have a hard time preparing it because I need to use a tea pot and I didn’t like the taste because its taste for me is like green mongo and not green tea.
But other brands like the one from Korea and India; and the brands of Lipton, Nestea and Healthy Options are similar to the cheap brand from China that I regularly consume. I am not endorsing China products in general because I am not a fan of Chinese products, except for my beloved China brand green tea.
So for me, the best green tea in the market when it comes in taste, effect and affordability, I will go for the authentic China Brand Green Tea.

With the health benefits of green tea, some are saying that green tea diet is better than drinking water. Well, I can not validate this scientifically but it makes sense to me because green tea is unlike soda and juices which contains sugar.
Green tea, like ordinary drinking water has “zero” calorie, fat-free and almost tasteless. But unlike plain water, green tea has significant amount of anti-oxidants which is proven for its health benefits that prevent and repair damages done by free radicals. Anti-oxidants play important role in preventing serious health problems like heart disease, mascular degeneration, diabetes and even cancer.
And of course, the wonder of green tea diet is that it is effective in increasing our metabolism that can help us to burn more calories and aid in weight reduction. So I can say that the health benefits of putting a bag of green tea to a cup of water are tripled as compared with just drinking plain water.
After all, if you are into green tea diet like me, it means that your water intake is also good because green tea drink is actually made of water and engaging in this diet is one of the best methods that can make you look and feel better in and out.

Now I love drinking green tea even more! This is because I discovered that an antioxidant in green tea is found to be a powerful weapon against breast cancer and it can also protect human skin against UV damage. The responsible antioxidant in green tea is the
EGCG (epigallocatechin-3-gallate).
The said researches inspire me more to continue drinking green tea because more than anything else, I want to have extra protection against the deadly cancer. Sure, I still want to keep those unwanted weight from accumulating in my body but now, I am more concern in keeping my inner health because I want my body to be strong enough to fight any cancer cell from developing.
I am thankful that the weight loss supplement that I chose few years ago is green tea. Green tea may not shed weights instantly but it does not have any bad side effect in our body and when you drink tea regularly and eat in moderation, you can surely shed weight steadily.

When you want to lose weight or when you are in a diet and you suddenly want to eat something in the middle of the night, why not drink green tea first? Drinking green tea is healthy and sipping a cup of warm green tea can alleviate your cravings or at least fill up your hunger at that moment.
This method works for me because whenever I have the urge to munch something after dinner or right before I go to bed, I opt to drink a cup of warm tea before munching anything. I found green tea better than drinking coffee because I do not need to add sugar and cream (which add unnecessary calories in my diet).
But if you are really hungry and you think a cup of tea will not satisfy you, just munch something in-between sipping green tea. This will make you feel fuller without eating too much and because green tea can aid in metabolism, you can be sure that it will help you burn the food that you just take in!

Our metabolism rate affects the number of calories that we can burn each day and it is a fact that our metabolism rate decreases as we age. Hence, we tend to gain weight faster as we get old and this is the reason why some of us still gain weight even if we eat moderately.
Therefore, we really need to do something to enhance our metabolism or we may get heavier as years pass by. One easy way to help boost our metabolism aside from increasing our physical activities is to consume green tea. Green tea contains catechin polyphenols which can increase the rate of calorie burning and according to many researches, green tea can also improved the metabolism of glucose and lipids.
Moreover, drinking green tea regularly not only improves our metabolism rate but likewise aids in weight management because this tea can also suppress appetite. No wonder many weight conscious all over the world are avid green tea drinker too!

It is believed that drinking plenty of water or liquid before meal can
suppress the appetite. But sometimes, when you are hungry, it is difficult to drink plain water as it lacks taste and aroma. But I found a better way to increase my liquid intake and suppress my appetite: sipping a cup of warm green tea.
Sipping warm green tea while smelling its delicate aroma is way better for me than forcing myself to drink a glass of tasteless water. But please don’t get me wrong, I do not have anything against water in fact, water is the best thirst quencher for me. However, in instances when I want to eat less, taking a cup of green tea really does wonder in suppressing my appetite or delaying my hunger.
When I am craving for a midnight snack, I drink a cup of green tea first so that I will consume only few cookies or peanuts. And if you are wondering what makes green tea act as appetite or hunger suppressant, well, I think it’s the caffeine content of green tea.
The good thing about green tea is that you can sip 4 to 6 cups daily without worrying about harmful substance because green tea is natural and it has zero calories. You can drink as much as you can and its mild aroma is relaxing too!

If there is one food or product that I will proudly recommend to anybody who wants to lose weight or just want to maintain a healthy body, it is the green tea. Green tea is one of the few health drinks that are generally safe for every body to take because it is natural and contains no harmful substance.
The green tea’s nutritional benefits are so amazing and it addresses the common health problems of people: too much cholesterol, high blood, poor metabolism and weight gain. By just drinking green tea, your metabolism will improve and your cholesterol level will become relatively lower.
Another thing that I love about green tea is its price. Green tea is not expensive and it is available anywhere: from groceries to drugstores. And because green tea is never expensive and is widely available, you can have it as part of your diet without hurting your budget.
I am a green tea drinker for several years now and I can say that incorporating green tea in my diet makes me healthier and more vibrant. I always feel better and I stay in shape through the years by just drinking a cup of warm green tea 2 or 3 times daily.
